Union Wood

Union Wood was once part of the Cooper Estate and is now managed by Coillte, with a fenced-off stand of old oak and a link to the Sligo Way. Two looped trails run through it, the 4km Union Rock trail and the 5.5km Oakwood trail, and the top of Union Rock looks out over Knocknarea, the Ox Mountains and Ballisodare Bay. There is a car park and picnic site at the entrance, and entry is free.
