The Hunt Museum

The Hunt Museum holds the art and antiquities John and Gertrude Hunt collected across their lives — more than ten thousand years of Irish and world history — in the eighteenth-century Custom House on Rutland Street, one of the finest Palladian buildings in Limerick.

The Museum in a Garden adds a sculpture trail on the bank of the Shannon, and the café looks over the Curraghgower Falls towards St Mary’s Cathedral. An average visit runs under the hour; discovery trails for children are available at the desk.

Open Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 5pm and Sunday 11am to 5pm; closed Mondays. Adults €12.50, concessions €10, under-16s free with an accompanying adult, and carers admitted free. The museum is a registered charity.
