Eleven acres of native woodland and wildflower meadow twenty minutes north of Galway city, laid out as four gardens following the Celtic year — Samhain, Imbolc, Bealtaine and Lughnasa, in that order, so that walking the sequence walks the seasons.

There is a crannog, a sun trail, a nature trail, and boards along the way on ecology, history and mythology. Meditation and forest-bathing walks run on Sundays. The café cooks with salads and herbs from the gardens.

Give it a couple of hours. The four gardens only make sense walked in order, and the last one is the far end of the site.
