Lough Boora Discovery Park
Address: Boora, Co. Offaly · View on map
Lough Boora is cutaway bog: industrial peatland worked by Bord na Móna for decades, now remade into grasslands, lakes and wetlands in west Offaly, with more than 130 bird species recorded across the site.
The sculpture park sets twenty-four large works, many formed from the bog’s own industrial materials, along flat walking and cycling routes. Bikes can be hired at the visitor centre, a café overlooks the lake, and guided tours — including a walk through the site’s Mesolithic archaeology — are booked through the park.
The park is open year-round and parking is free.
