Dominican sisters turned the hillside land behind their Wicklow town convent over to organic farming in the 1990s, and the seventy acres were certified organic in 2006. The farm grows vegetables and raises cattle without chemicals, and the same ground holds conservation areas, planted woodland, beehives, a pond and stream walk and a meditation labyrinth. There is a farm shop selling the produce, guided tours up to the hilltop growing fields with views over Wicklow Bay, and a programme that runs from single-day workshops to weekend, week-long and ten-week residential courses.
