The Old Barracks Coffee Roastery

The Old Barracks roasts its own beans in the old barracks building in the middle of Birdhill village and serves the results in the coffee bar, with outdoor seating looking out over the Tipperary countryside. Single-origin and blend coffees are sold by the bag and by subscription, and there is a wine list alongside. The company also runs barista classes and machine dial-in sessions for people trying to make better coffee at home. Birdhill is open daily from 9am to 5pm; a second bar operates at The Sawmills on the Dock Road in Limerick city.
