The museum draws on the Strokestown Park estate archive to tell the story of the Great Irish Famine through the parallel lives of landlords and tenants. It is cared for by the Irish Heritage Trust, an independent charity, and a visit can take in the Palladian house and gardens as well. Open daily 10am to 5.30pm, with house tours at 12pm, 2pm and 3.30pm; booking ahead online is recommended.
