So Say So #29 at Wexford Arts Centre on 28 August 2026: live ambient music on a free spoken-word bill curated by Stephen James Smith, with French slam champion Maras Poesie.
Thunderclap Murphy played So Say So #29 at Wexford Arts Centre on Friday 28 August 2026, a free spoken-word evening curated and hosted by the poet Stephen James Smith. It was his second booking at the venue in five weeks. With rain forecast, the night moved indoors from the Community Garden into the arts centre.
He played flute, guitar, saxophone and keyboard, live looping each line at a different length so the parts drift out of step. The ribbon microphone in the photographs takes the flute and the voice.

The bill
Maras Poesie, a French slam and freestyle champion, was the featured guest. The 5-Word-Challenge open mic ran on the night, five minutes each, first come first served. So Say So is supported by Culture Ireland and Wexford County Council as part of Ireland’s EU Presidency Culture Programme.
The July night in the Community Garden was the first of the two.
